Dear Father,
I wrote to you 2 or 3 weeks ago but have not received an answer as yet. I wrote to you for clothing, grey or mixed is allowed to prisoners of war. Brother Robert is at this place. He has written to you. The boys of our neighborhood that are here are all well. J W Hulume sends his respects to you. I want you to write as often as you can. Give my love to mother and family. Tell mother to write to me. Give my respects to the ladys and write soon. I remain your affectionate son.
